Co-founder & Senior Partner
Dimple holds a Master’s degree in Law (Commercial Laws) and is also a qualified Company Secretary. Dimple’s specialization is corporate and commercial laws (non-contentious). Over a career spanning twenty-five (25) years, she has had an opportunity to work in senior positions with reputed law firms, investment bank and leading corporate houses.
Dimple has co-founded Vasmum Legal, a boutique law firm based in Mumbai, which specialises in corporate, commercial, banking and real estate practice. Dimple’s areas of practice include Mergers & Acquisitions, capital markets, privatisation/ divestitures in Government and private sector (both through competitive bidding process and private negotiations), transactions, investments both through equity and structured debt, projects; and general corporate advisory.
She started her career as Company Secretary with a listed company where she was responsible for legal and secretarial functions of the group. She has also worked with leading law firms, where she specialised in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, project finance and corporate transactions. Here she also worked for offshore clients referred by leading international law firms associated as best friends with these Indian law firms advising them in setting up their India operations, conducting legal due diligence on the Indian target companies, drawing up joint venture/ acquisition/ investment agreements and advising on day-to-day legal issues, compliances, contracts and commercial arrangements.
In her stint as an investment banker with a leading investment bank in India, she was engaged in M&A and Corporate Advisory, where she closely worked on the M&A, capital markets, divestments, private equity and advisory transactions.
Dimple regularly advises/ assists Investors, AIFs, NBFCs and Banks in conducting corporate legal due diligence over the investee/ borrower companies and drafting of documentation involved in the transaction.
